Sake Tasting at Silverlake Wine

Last weekend was kinda nuts. We did four sizeable catering parties and then our ole' standby... Sunday's Silverlake Wine Tasting.

This week, it was not wine but a Sake Tasting. Randy asked Matt to do something sort of Mediterranean/ Asian. I said, "That's all you, babe! Have fun!"

And so he did. Here was the menu...

Spicy Tuna Tar Tar served over Warm Sauteed Spinach, and Crispy Fried Black Garbonzo Beans

Sturgen Confit Wrap with Pesto and Tomato Aioli

Duck Confit Lasagna.

I repeat. Duck Confit Lasagna with Carmelized Sweet & Sour Onions, Fresh Mozzarella, and Smokey Bechamel.

In a word, Out-friggin-rageous!!!!

Matt made a creamy Risotto to accompany the last course which was:

Marinated Prime Beef Cap served tender and rare.
...but of course.

As usual, lots of fun.

Wow! What a parade of food! I haven't tried all of those kinds of recipe. I visited China before and I ate duck with some pepper and tomato. It was fun. I like it. But, after I got into my hotel I started vomiting. I guess my stomach doesn't like it. From then, I don't really eat Asian Food. Thanks.
