Virginia is for Lovers

Last week we did a site visit for an upcoming October Wedding in Virginia. The wedding is going to be off the charts, 300 people where Matt is going to go nutty with the menu, but for right now..... this is how Jamestown looks: sort of, well, swampy.

None To Worry !!!

The ladies from Allison Events are going to have a floor built under elaborate tents with fire pits and hammocks and chandeliers! Guests will feast on traditional colonial fare like Virginia Ham and Hand-Churned Butter with squaw and pumpkin breads to just touch the surface.

Stay tuned, I'll fill you in come fall.

Heath Ceramics Wedding Lounge

March 14th we participated in a Wedding Lounge at Heath Ceramics where some of our favorite vendors and friends set up shop with us for those lookin' to get hitched.

Matt served up some Lasagna Cupcakes and such, and showed what a Pizza Bar can look like.

.........................

Our favorite lovelies of Cake Monkey whipped up some of their confections to showcase a gorgeous dessert table

Beautiful Gina Zimmer-
man from Ceremonies of Grace discussed officiating weddings

And of course the elegant and delightful Gilly Flowers brought in some examples of their whimsical arrange-
ments.

Check out Heath Ceramics at 7525 Beverly Blvd. Simple and pretty settings that you will keep for a lifetime.

Wedding Lounge - March 14, 2010

The Heath Wedding Lounge is a gathering of some of our favorite artisans in the local wedding scene. Like us, and like you, they believe in the high quality, relaxed-modern style of hand-crafted goods. Stop by the Wedding Lounge for drinks and nibbles — mix and mingle with our favorite caterer, florist, baker, photographer and more. If all goes well, you'll be able to cross everything off your list in one afternoon (not bad!). Your RSVP is appreciated.

*Print this email (better yet, reference this email) to receive a 20% discount on anything in the Heath store (some exceptions apply) — discount valid event date only and cannot be combined with any other offer.

SLW Tasting March 7th 2010

We Love the Academy Awards (and we hate them), but we also love Sunday Tastings at Silverlake Wine (no feelings of hate whatsoever for SLW), so we went ahead and did the tasting

last Sunday, thereby overlapping the awards. It's okay though because we did get to see "The Cove" win for best doc, but also we were voting for "Food Inc".... we highly recommend informing yourself by watching both.

Meanwhile it is my mission to promote your stomach to grumble in fury as I describe what Matt cooked up for Sunday. He roasted an entire side of Veal by the way...

First Course
Roasted Beef Steak Tomatoes with Fresh Peas & Tendrils, Almonds, Avocado, and House Made Ricotta

Second Course
Smoked Lasagna made with Goat Cheese & Burrata, topped with sliced Asaparagus

Third Course
Vegan Risotto finished with Celery Root Puree & shaved Sun Chokes

Fourth Course
Veal with Roasted Heirloom Carrots and Garlic Scallions
